"The Defense of the Noble Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him), may Allah be pleased with them all."

 INTRODUCTION

 اعوذ باللہ من الشیطان الرجیم

بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم

السلام علیکم ورحمۃ اللہ وبرکاتہ

"Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you."

The Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) are that blessed and unparalleled group of individuals whose like cannot be found in the annals of human history. The loyalty and devotion they showed to the Prophet (peace be upon him) is unmatched—so much so that the human intellect cannot even comprehend the depth of their sacrifices and sincerity.

Their everlasting role in spreading the message of Islam across the globe is vividly recorded in the pages of history. From Arabia to Persia, from the meadows of Europe to the mountains beyond the Oxus, from the shores of Sindh to the deserts of Egypt—their remarkable efforts and achievements are clearly visible. Some among them established gatherings of Hadith and dedicated their precious lives to the transmission of sacred knowledge. The Companions, in essence, are living proofs of the greatness of the divine teachings brought by the Prophet (peace be upon him).
Some carried the banner of Jihad, overthrowing the oppressive empires of Caesar and Chosroes, and planted the flag of monotheism (Tawheed) upon their ruins. Others achieved the highest ranks in the fields of Qur’anic exegesis and Islamic jurisprudence. Allah entrusted some with the compilation of the Qur’an, while others were made to stand firm before tyrants and kings.

Each of these Companions made immense sacrifices in their respective domains, and it is precisely these contributions that irritate the enemies of Islam. Reflect upon this: the adversaries of Islam have always targeted those noble Companions who played major roles in establishing and expanding Islam. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), the first two Caliphs and the greatest benefactors of this Ummah, are continuously targeted with slander and false accusations.

Khalid ibn al-Waleed (may Allah be pleased with him), honored by the Prophet (peace be upon him) as “The Sword of Allah,” is mocked for his military victories. Mother Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), the beloved wife of the Prophet and the Mother of the Believers, is falsely accused by deviant sects who, God forbid, label her with blasphemous terms.

Likewise, the era of Sayyiduna Ameer Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) was one of stability, peace, and major Islamic expansion—yet, these same critics, without any evidence, accuse him of hypocrisy. Sayyiduna Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him), known as “Dhun-Nurayn” (the possessor of two lights), was so trusted by the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he married two of his daughters to him one after another. Yet these people refuse to accept his leadership and the legitimacy of his Caliphate.

"This brief writing is a humble attempt to defend the honor of the noble Companions of the Messenger (peace be upon him). We encourage our respected readers to study it with care—it will, InshaAllah, prove to be beneficial and enlightening."
